Spectacular Precision Regulator by John Bolton of Durham England. Circa 1800,  Georgian style hood with columns and a wonderful case in flame mahogany banded on the edges. Bolton was a well known clock maker and astronomer, he also built a famous clock that told the time of all the major cities of the world. Silvered and engraved 14” dial with a rare sweep second hand along with a calendar hand. The clock also features a very attractive and unusual pendulum with a finely adjustable rating nut for precise time keeping. 23.5 “w x 6’ 11” h x 10.5” d .  $ 12,500

Welch, Spring & Co. No. 1 Calendar, Forrestville, Conn. c, 1870 -77. This is an extremely rare and desirable clock. 8 - day with a perpetual calendar movement that even handles leap years. Rosewood veneer with original finish and dials.  Inside are all the original labels along with many pencil notations by the clock repairmen that cleaned and serviced it over the years. Large 18” dial with 26” bezel with the original jeweler’s name on the dial who was in the Rochester N. Y. area. 12” lower dial with height of 53”.  A great clock for a large room or a business. I have had it on the wall in my restoration shop for five years and it will keep time to within 5 -10 minutes a year. The calendar and the day hand on the upper dial work perfectly. Behind the bezel it is signed, “sold by L. P. Elsheimer 1877”, possibly when he went out of business.   $7250

Dated 1898, New Haven Gallery, 8 day. A clock that must have been a special order as the brass works are beautifully damascened and the back of the dial is painted and striped and the following is written; This clock was finished April 2 nd. 89 by Joseph D Farr finisher. New Haven Clock Co. New Haven Conn. U. S. A.  It appears that he made the hands as they are not standard and have copper tips, the minute hand engraved D Farr. Fine segmented oak case in cleaned original finish with a hinged lift up door. Excellent original dial.  21” x 5”  with a 14” dial.  $1475
